VOLUNTEER STORY

“My name is Jo. I’m retired and have a large garden and puppy that occupy my time. I find volunteering to build and maintain The Haven gardens for The Village at Glencliff is uplifting. It is especially so when a group of us work together (2nd and 4th Tuesday evenings). Working as a team accomplishes so much more in a short time. Working as a team introduces me to other people, including volunteers from groups like St. Vincent DePaul Youth Organization, who were wonderful and loving.

I am so blessed to meet so many wonderful people while gardening.”

Volunteers are the heart and soul of The Village at Glencliff. Whether you are sharing gifts of presence or gifts of talents, you are helping to support our mission to provide a healing community for unhoused Nashvillians who are medically vulnerable to safely recover, stabilize their lives, and imagine their futures.

VOLUNTEER AGREEMENT

As a volunteer, I release and hold harmless The Village at Glencliff and their successors from all claims, costs, suits, actions, judgments or expenses upon any damage, loss or injury to me or to my property which may arise from this volunteer event. I acknowledge that I am fully aware of all risks posed by these volunteer activities and that I have no medical condition that prevents me from engaging in them. I also give permission to be photographed by project partners or the media for use in printed materials, through the internet or through other media outlets. In signing below, I acknowledge that I have read and understand this volunteer agreement.
